The Canyon

I am so done with feeling sick. I've been throwing up on and off for the last few days. And it's not even like I feel sick sick, besides the ragging headache I seem to constantly have. My stomach just hurts like crazy. Like I've never felt my stomach hurt so bad ughh! And the next person who asks if I'm pregnant is gonna get a swift kick to the groin.

Anywhays back to previously mentioned canyon. My family goes every 4th of July to a canyon to do a bbq and hang, then we go back to my uncle's house to do driveway of fire. Of course I haven't gone since like 2006 or 2007 we used to go ever year, but recently haven't seem to be able to make it to Utah. Even this year me and Ashley, my new sister, were the only siblings there. My sister Tanna was in Cali, Maranda was driving down, and Dustin had to work. But it was still fun there with my cousins, and Alex's mom, mom's bf, and brother were there too!

I really suck at remembering to take pictures, I did get some but I NEED to get better at remembering!

The Drive

We started our first road trip of three on July 3rd, at 4:45 in the am. We we're supposed to leave by 3:30 by I unconsciously turned the alarm off, still don't even remember that. We really didn't have to leave that early, didn't have a set schedule or anything, just wanted to get there early and still be able to take our sweet time driving and see some sites.

We stopped in Flagstaff at 8:00 and had breakfast with our friends at Cracker Barrel . They we're driving to Utah for the wedding too. After breakfast we went back on the road. My phone map took up the long way up Utah and had us turn to go through the mountains before Paige. But it turned out even better cause the drive was beautiful.

We drove through a little off route I'm not sure where it led but it was pretty. Is was so nice and cool up there and started raining, so beautiful.

Coming down the mountain back to the highway Alex got pulled over. He was going 55. He thought it was 50 but apparently it was 45. The cop was cool and let him off with a warning. He said because he was in the military, and he used to be military too, don't worry we didn't purposely advertise, but he saw the sticker on my car.

Next we went through Zion National Park and did a little exploring. It was quite lovely.

We got to Orem in pretty decent time considering how much we stopped. I think it was about 8:30 pm, and that's with an hour time change. We we're both totally wiped though and crashed at the hotel and decided to wait and see the fam the next day.

Lovely

Last night I got three hours of sleep before I had to wake up and get Alex to the airport then drive seven hours home. I am so past exhausted it's not even funny. But I just don't wanna go to bed. I didn't expect to be this sad when Alex went back, I don't even wanna face sleeping alone right now. I know I should be looking at the bright side of it all, and that he only has a little over 3 months till he's back. But I can't seem to look at the possitite right now, I just feel extremely sad. He's only been gone about 15 hours but I miss him so freakin much already.

While I'm fighting sleep I figure I'll blog and put up some pictures I'm loving.

My best friend, Michelle takes amazing pictures (if anyone is in the phoenix area check her out!) And she was awesome enough to take pictures of us while Alex was here. Even though it was super freakin hot out!

Then she suggested we take some with our dogs which I love how they turned out!! It was a freakin hot 120 degrees out when we did these, so we didn't have the dogs out for all the pics just some, it was too hot for those babies.

I love how all of these turned out! She did such a good job! I'm glad I finally have pictures to replace my fake photo families.

Talent

I'm currently busy packing for our extra long vacation :) We leave super soon, like realllly soon. I am so excited to finally have some time with just me and my man, not a lot of time but still. It's the one time since before we were married that I don't have to share him with the army or our family. The ONE time! I am so stoked to finally have some complete "us" time.

Wow totally wasn't meaning to do that, but that worked out well with what my post is about.

In case you missed it, here is the video from the day that Alex got back that our amazing cousin Chelsea took for us. Chelsea is also my best friend. Seriously the funniest girl to hang out with. We spent a good most of this year together even though she lives in Utah and I live in Arizona. And when we're not around each other we really don't go a day without texting each other. I love this girl so much!

She also has a totally awesome blog. Go follow her!! You won't be sorry. Also not only has she made our video but she also made these ones. She is so talented!

Side note to this post, this past 2 days we have done 2 photo shoots, a family one with Alex's family and an us one. I am so loving how they turned out! I can't wait to put them up when we, no, I come back from vacation :( There's a little preview on my new header of a couple of the family shoot we did. But anyway, that's about it. I gotta go pack the jeep up before we head out in a few hours.

Just a Quick

update. This is Weigh in Wednesday Week 5. But on Thursday, cause I just went to the doc today.

I am incredibly surprised with me weight loss this week.

I lost 5 lbs! And I had a big fat free day this week!

I decided last week I am going to do a free day a week.

And I'm glad I did cause it looks like it payed off haha

Anyways that's 5lbs with a total of 23 lbs in a couple days over a month!

Super happy! :)

And I'm super happy that it's date night! Well, date day, yes all day date day, haha. I just had to up date this cause I'm fairly pleased with myself :)

The morning started out with some cracker barrel, where look who won!!
